What is the secret ingredient??

The secret ingredient in our bourbon cream cocktail is…Pumpkin Spice RumChata!

RumChata is a popular and distinctive cream liqueur known for its sweet, creamy, and cinnamon-flavored profile. It is a creamy alcoholic beverage that’s often enjoyed as a dessert or cocktail ingredient. RumChata is made with a blend of several key ingredients that make this bourbon cream cocktail shine:

  1. Rum: The base spirit for RumChata is Caribbean rum. This rum is typically lighter and smoother, which pairs well with the creamy texture of the liqueur.
  2. Dairy Cream: To achieve its creamy consistency, RumChata contains real dairy cream. This gives the liqueur its rich and smooth mouthfeel.
  3. Cinnamon and Other Spices: One of the standout features of RumChata is its cinnamon flavor. The liqueur is infused with a blend of spices, with cinnamon being the most prominent. These spices contribute to its warm and slightly spicy taste, making it reminiscent of a cinnamon horchata.
  4. Vanilla and Sugar: Vanilla is often added to enhance the sweetness and aroma of the liqueur. Sugar is used to sweeten and balance the flavors.

RumChata is versatile and can be enjoyed in various ways. In a bourbon cream cocktail kike this one…and…

  • Sipped Neat: Many people enjoy RumChata chilled and sipped on its own, as it has a dessert-like quality.
  • Cocktails: RumChata can be used as an ingredient in a wide range of cocktails. It pairs well with coffee, hot chocolate, and other creamy cocktails. It can also be used in creative dessert cocktails.
  • Mixed with Other Spirits: It can be mixed with other spirits like whiskey or flavored liqueurs to create unique and indulgent cocktails.
  • Dessert Topping: RumChata can be drizzled over ice cream, used in milkshakes, or added to desserts to enhance their flavor.

RumChata has gained popularity for its sweet and spicy flavor profile, and it’s often associated with festive occasions and holiday celebrations. It’s important to note that, like all alcoholic beverages, it should be consumed responsibly.

This drink is so good. The only issue we have is that the rumchata tends to curdle. Not sure how to solve that. Either way (curdle/no curdle) this is a new favorite.
