Y’all have been requesting that we share recipes with rum for summertime and this one certainly does NOT disappoint! Introducing our Smoked Pineapple Basil Rum Cocktail! That’s a mouthful!

This drink is smoky, earthy, and sweet!

It is a delicious combination and will entertain your taste buds for hours! Pineapple drinks typically run on the super sweet side, but with the basil muddled into the drink, it tones down the sweetness and gives the drink an almost savory flavor profile. The pineapple hits you in the front of your mouth, whereas the basil lingers in the back! Finally, the added lemon peel smoke dust will give a touch of citrus throughout the whole drink!

Give it a try even if it is a little out of your comfort zone.

Smoked Pineapple Basil Rum

Equipment

  • Cocktail Shaker
  • Muddling Tool
  • Cocktail Strainer
  • Smokeshow Cocktail Smoker
  • Butane Torch

Ingredients

Cocktail

  • 2 oz Rum
  • 3 oz Pineapple Juice
  • 1 tsp Lime Juice
  • 3-4 Basil Leaves

Garnish & Smoke

  • 1 pinch Lemon Peel
  • 1 slice Lime

Instructions

Cocktail

  • In a cocktail shaker, muddle basil leaves. Add in all ingredients. Strain into glass over ice.
    2 oz Rum, 3 oz Pineapple Juice, 1 tsp Lime Juice, 3-4 Basil Leaves

Smoke

  • Smoke it!
    1 pinch Lemon Peel

Garnish

  • Add lime slice!
    1 slice Lime
