James Bond famously asked for his martinis to be shaken not stirred. Now, no disrespect to Bond, but shaking a martini with ice dilutes the drink faster and changes the texture of a martini. A martini is meant to be velvety smooth and crystal clear! So, with this knowledge, put away the cocktail shaker, chill your martini glass, and just give it a stir. No shaking allowed!
Cardamom is zesty and sweet with a bit of spice. It pairs perfectly with fruit, so we chose pear for this martini so the cardamom won’t be overshadowed by a stronger fruit such as an orange or lemon. Even though this drink is served cold, the warmth from the flavor of the cardamom is enough to heat up the night!
