Ahh, yes, springtime! The season of new life and our favorite yellow friend, no not the sun, the pollen. So, if you are forced to stay inside due to a bad case of the achoooooo’s. then enjoy the taste of spring from the comfort of your home!

The key to springtime cocktails is of course light and refreshing as the weather warms up. We’re saying goodbye to heavier cocktails and hot drinks and switching gears to fresh ingredients, floral notes, and seasonal ingredients! Here are some of the best spring cocktail trends for you to hop on board!

Light and Refreshing: Cocktails that are light, crisp, and refreshing are always popular in the spring. This can include drinks made with sparkling wine, citrus juices, and fresh herbs.

Floral Flavors: Floral flavors are a natural fit for spring cocktails. Ingredients like elderflower, lavender, and rose add a delicate and aromatic touch to drinks.

Herbal Infusions: Fresh herbs like mint, basil, and thyme are commonly used in spring cocktails to add a bright, herbaceous flavor.

Seasonal Ingredients: Incorporating seasonal fruits and vegetables into cocktails is a great way to capture the flavors of spring. Think strawberries, rhubarb, and cucumbers.

Jack Daniels Spring Cocktail

This springtime cocktail combines Apple Jack Daniels, lime juice, grenadine, and elderflower liqueur. Let’s break down those ingredients!

  1. Apple Jack Daniels: This is a variation of Jack Daniel’s whiskey that is flavored with apple. It adds a sweet and fruity flavor to the cocktail, which pairs well with the other ingredients.
  2. Lime Juice: Lime juice adds a tart and citrusy flavor to the cocktail, balancing out the sweetness from the other ingredients. It also adds a refreshing element to the drink.
  3. Grenadine: Grenadine is a sweet and fruity syrup made from pomegranate juice. It adds a rich red color to the cocktail and contributes a sweet and slightly tart flavor.
  4. Elderflower Liqueur: Elderflower liqueur is a sweet and floral liqueur made from elderflower blossoms. It adds a delicate floral aroma and flavor to the cocktail, which complements the other ingredients beautifully.

In this cocktail, we are adding smoke, of course! I chose Apple smoke dust to highlight the apple tones in the Apple Jack Daniels.
